<div style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri, sans-serif;"><p style="margin:0;">MADISON - Mary Therese Rider, age 77, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Brookdale Middleton Stonefield Memory Care facility. She was born on Aug. 1, 1944, in St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of Russell and Mary (Cersine) Rider. She married Thomas Corbett on Dec. 22, 1972, and the two spent 50 marvelous years together.</p><p style="margin:0;"><br></p><p style="margin:0;">Mary received her bachelor’s degree from Loyola University in Chicago and continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Later, she graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin School of Law. After several years working in Vocational Rehabilitation and Wisconsin’s Employment Relations Department, where she served as a Division Administrator, Mary proudly served for over two decades as a Deputy Director in the Wisconsin Supreme Court where she oversaw the running of the state’s integrated court system. She retired in 1999 to devote more time to travel, reading, playing golf with Tom, mostly at Blackhawk Country Club, and caring for her two pet dogs, Ernie and Rascal, whom she adored. On the links, she even hit a hole in one, a fact that always excited her since Tom never managed to get one. </p><p style="margin:0;"><br></p><p style="margin:0;">Mary is survived by her husband, Tom; brother, John Rider; sisters-in-law, Barbara and Arta Rider; and many dear relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by<span style="color:#FF0000;"> </span>her parents and her eldest brother, Tom Rider.</p><p style="margin:0;"><br></p><p style="margin:0;">A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022.
