We regret to announce the death of Jamila Bedard, at the age of 92 years, on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Sensenbrenner Hospital. Jamila was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was extremely family oriented. In her spare time, she enjoyed her daily visits and feeding her chipmunk, Chippy; she also enjoyed playing solitaire, gardening in her flower beds, and bird watching. Jamila’s greatest joy, however, were visits from her great-granddaughter.

Jamila will be greatly missed by her daughters: Rachelle Hachey of Kapuskasing, and Francine Samadi of Toronto; her grandchildren: Sarah, Shaun, and Evan; her great-grandchildren: Calianne, and Nugget who is expected at year’s end; as well as three brothers: Mike, Tony (Claudette), and Harry Chrusch (Thérèse) all of Kapuskasing. Jamila was predeceased by her husband, Lucien; her parents: Agnes and Makar Chrusch; and two brothers: Nicholas and Edward Chrusch.

Jamila will be resting at the Guenette Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Patrick's church, with Father Praveen Kumar officiating. Burial will follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. The family would greatly appreciate donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation as expressions of sympathy. ©

Jamila était une mère, grand-mère, et arrière-grand-mère aimable et extrêmement axée sur sa famille. Comme passe-temps, elle aimait ses visites quotidiennes, et nourrir son suisse, Chippy; elle aimait aussi jouer au solitaire, faire du jardinage de fleurs, et l’observation d’oiseaux. Par contre, elle ressentait sa plus grande joie lors des visites de son arrière-petite-fille.

Jamila manquera grandement à ses filles : Rachelle Hachey de Kapuskasing, et Francine Samadi de Toronto; ses petits-enfants : Sarah, Shaun, et Evan; ses arrière-petits-enfants : Calianne, et Nugget qu’on attend à la fin de l’année; ainsi que trois frères : Mike, Tony (Claudette), et Harry Chrusch (Thérèse) tous de Kapuskasing. Jamila fut prédécédée par son époux, Lucien; ses parents, Agnes et Makar Chrusch; et deux frères : Nicholas et Edward Chrusch.

Jamila Bedard reposera au Salon Funéraire Guenette vendredi de 14h à 16h et 19h à 21h. La Célébration Eucharistique aura lieu le samedi 25 juin 2022, à 10h30, en l'église St. Patrick avec Père Praveen Kumar comme célébrant. L’inhumation suivra au Cimetière de Kapuskasing. La famille sera très reconnaissante de dons à la Fondation des maladies du cœur comme témoignages de sympathie. ©
