Richard Paul “Dick” Matheson, 80, of Sullivan, passed away 1:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at his home in Sullivan. Services to be determined. Dick was born February 5, 1942, in Bethany; the son of Paul and Edna (Denton) Matheson. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed his family, grandkids, sitting underneath the Apple Tree and the Chicago Bears. He is survived by his sons, Ryan (Robin) Matheson of Jackson, TN, and Robert Matheson of Sullivan; daughter, Robyne (Kenny) Simpson of Sullivan; brother, Danny Matheson of Clinton; sister, Cheryl Matheson of Sullivan. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Marjory Park and Delores Bone.

You would have to search high n low n still not find a better man than him. He was gentle n kind. I will miss him till it’s my time to go
