Joan D Wieting

Joan D. Wieting, 93, of New Burnside, Illinois, passed away June 21, 2022. Joan was born July 6, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of William and Frances (Waterloo) Blumenthal. She married Edward Wieting in 1947, and he preceded her in death. Joan worked at Woolworth for over 25 years. She is survived by her daughters: Florence (Dave) Hamel of New Burnside, IL, and ; Gaylynn (Richard) Wales of Fox Lake, IL. 3 sons: William (Aija) Wieting of Round Lake, IL; Edward Wieting of Savannah, IL; and Roy Wieting of Fox Lake, IL. Joan also had 14 grandchildren and several great- grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and 2 sisters. Celebration of life services will be held on August 07, 2022 at Caboose Park in Lake Villa, Illinois at 12 noon, with burial in Woods National Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI.on August 08 2022. Absher- Nicholson Funeral Home in Carrier Mills is in charge of arrangements.

We grew up with the Wieting clan in a very close neighborhood in Fox Lake, IL. Great memories and love for all. Prayers for the family from the Sparrowgrove's/Randazzo's.

My Grandma was such a sweet little lady with firery spunk. So many laughs with the things she would say. She built a beautiful family and will be greatly missed. We love you Grandma Joan!!!!
