Goodbye is a word that is often used with an expectation. When we say goodbye to friends and family we expect to see them again at a later time. There is no way to know for certain when a "goodbye" could last forever.

Today we lost a family member. Although we knew she was doing poorly we had no idea that our last "goodbye" would be the last time we saw her.  We would have hugged her a little longer had we known.

One of my favorite things about her was how much she loved her Great Grandchildren. Caiden and Allison who brought her such joy, you could see it on her face. She would always laugh at Caiden's silliness and be impressed by Allison's dance and gymnastics moves. She will be missed, but her memory will live on.

In Acts 16:31 it says, "Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

This brings us great hope that not all goodbyes will last forever. We pray often for my loved ones to except Jesus into their hearts so we will one day see them again in Heaven.     Ruth, Mom, GG We love you always!!
