David Wayne "Wormy" Flannagin, 70, of Trinity passed away Monday, June 20, 2022 at his residence. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to  2:00 PM on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at  2:00 PM on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Lawrence Funeral Home with Shane Williams officiating. Burial will be at Midway Memorial Gardens in Moulton, AL. 

Born on December 28, 1951 to Albert and Dollie Hodge Flannagin, David enjoyed building engines for the drag race cars, and doing the bodywork. He was also a talented woodworker.

Survivors include his three children,  Jamie Flannagin (Anah) of Trinity, Stephanie Vanzant (Tyrone) of Winchester, TN, Jason Flannagin (Ashley) of Trinity; nine grandchildren , Riley Flannagin, Dekota Flannagin, Samantha O'rear, Taylor Yarbrough (Baile), Kendra Dull (Brian), Amber Belew (Chris), and Eva Saenz, Braylen Tucker, Aubree Peden  ; eight great-grandchildren, Ember Lyons, Ethan Dull, Liam Dull, Campbell Belew, Abbi Eberhart, Collins Belew, Kenyan Jacobs, and Hannah Dull; one sister, Shirley Vess (Ray) of Moulton; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

David is preceded in death by his father, Albert Flannagin; mother, Dollie Hodge, and many siblings. 

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family extends special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama and his nurse Londen Brown, and Dr. Jerry Boyd for all of his care he gave.
