Dorothy G. McCusker Obituary

Dorothy "Dot" G. McCusker of Atco, formerly of Ocean City, Stratford and Philadelphia, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022.

She is predeceased by her husband Joe, daughters Jean and Kathy, and her brother Ed. Dot is survived by loving son, Joe (Jeanne) and beloved grandchildren, Tara, Katie, Carly, Dan (Lisa), Vince (Keighley), Cristian, and great grandchildren, Camille, Shea and Carson. She is also survived by devoted niece Mary and numerous other cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

Dot graduated from West Catholic High School in Philadelphia. She met her husband Joe when they both worked at the Schuylkill Arsenal. After getting married and moving to Stratford, Dot worked at a day care in South Jersey. Dot then worked at UMDNJ in Stratford for many years, where she made numerous friends that she maintained contact with over the years. After retiring to Ocean City, Dot became very active in St. Frances Cabrini Church. She worked at the Parish Thrift Store and participated in Bible Study groups. Dot also enjoyed being a member of the local Red Hat Society and the local book club.

Dot was known as the Pretzel Lady due to her Sweet Treats by Dot business. She kept busy making chocolate covered pretzels for her many customers and for the numerous craft shows she participated in.



Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing and visitation Thursday morning 10:00 -10:45am at St. Frances Cabrini, 114 Atlantic Ave, Ocean City, NJ. Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00am.

Burial will be private.
