Ms. Demice Javette Wilks, 38, passed on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. Born July 7, 1983 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of Dennis Wilks and the late Mary Virginia Troutman. Educated in the public schools of Rowan County, she graduated from North Rowan High School, Class of 2001 and attended North Carolina Central University. She was last employed with Applebee’s Restaurant as a waitress. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, LaTasha Wilks. Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Omar Rochard Walker, Jr. of the home; father, Dennis Wilks of Salisbury; siblings, KaTrina Troutman of Spartanburg, SC, Jeanee Wilks-McJunkin and Robin Walker, both of Salisbury; special friends, Nikki Wiseman and Omar Walker, Sr.; other relatives and friends.
