Craig Robert Coppage

Craig Robert Coppage, beloved husband, dad, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully on June 19, 2022, surrounded by his family at South County Hospital. He was born on August 20, 1948, in Providence RI, the son of the late Robert Coppage and Christina (Roch) Coppage. Craig is survived by his loving wife, Charlene (Bray) Coppage. Also survived by his son, Kurt Coppage, his daughter, Kendra (Coppage) Meeker and her husband Joseph Meeker. In addition, he is survived by his brother, David Coppage of NH. Craig grew up in Warwick and then resided in South County for the last 30 years. Craig attended Pilgrim High School in Warwick and earned a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. He maintained many friendships with classmates from the ‘70s and often shared memories about his college days where he met his wife, Charlene, and his fun times with his Phi Mu Delta brothers. Craig was a retiree from Electric Boat where he built a career working and provided for his family for 40 years. He held many positions, but retired as the Manger of Nuclear Operations in Groton, CT. Craig enjoyed time with his family, spending time at the river and beach, listening to the Beach Boys and Kenny Chesney, playing horseshoes with friends, golfing, skiing, and staying active by running and biking. He was an avid traveler with his friends and family. Some of his favorite vacation spots where St. John, USVI, Siesta Key, FL, Jackson, NH, and his most recent trip to Yellowstone Park. He was a genuine, honorable, caring, strong, and fun man. We will miss his sense of humor and all the good times we had with him. He would want all of us to remember him by looking up each day at the blue skies. A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 12 to 2 pm at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, RI. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Craig R. Coppage to support cancer research and patient care at: Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
