Services for Patsy Ruth Lynn, 86, of Vandalia, will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Vandalia First Christian Church with Reverend Mike Leake and Reverend Jamie Franke officiating. Burial will follow in the Vandalia Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Bienhoff Funeral Home. Mrs. Lynn passed away at 12:35 A.M., June 20, 2022 at Tri County Care Facility. She was born on July 29, 1935 in Wellsville, the daughter of Ralph Daniel and Erna Lucille Young Smith. Patsy married Donald Raymond Lynn on June 6, 1953 in Vandalia and he preceded her in death on September 4, 2017. Survivors include three daughters; Rose (Marvin) Yager of Vandalia, Lori (Jeff) Leake of Perry, and Gina (Calvin) Brown of Perry, one sister in law; Jane Smith, seven grandchildren; Amy Stowers, Anthony (Shelley) Yager, Amanda (Zach) Scrogin, Mike (Nikki) Leake, Jeremy (Danielle) Hopke, Jason (Leeann) Brown, and Jodi Elliott, fourteen great grandchildren; Aarron (Lindsey) Hull, Hydie Flowers, Halynna Yager, Justin and Dylan Stowers, Colton, Levi, and Owen Hopke, Kaibree Smith, Neilee and Leeson Brown, Isaiah and Hannah Leake, and Adley Elliott, seven great great grandchildren; Ashlyn and Ryan Grammar, Ian, Parker, and Easton Hull, Mya and Nattie Bodimer, along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters; Helen Stinnett, Betty Bontz, and Donna Darnell, and one brother; Danny Smith. Mrs. Lynn was a member of the Vandalia First Christian Church, where she taught Sunday School for special needs children and was also a member of the Pike County Genealogy Society. She worked at Bobbi Brooks for several years before retiring and becoming a homemaker. Patsy enjoyed spending her time doing genealogy, sewing, reading, and listening to music. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Pallbearers will be Anthony Yager, Jeremy Hopke, Jason Brown, Zach Scrogin, Aarron Hull, and Justin Stowers. Honorary pallbearers will be her great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vandalia First Christian Church, in care of Bienhoff Funeral Home, P.O. Box 54, Vandalia, MO.
