Robert L. “Bob” Stigler, age 57, of Manhattan, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox. He is survived by his parents Phyllis and Steve Stigler, his loving wife of 19 years Rebecca (nee Wilburn), daughter Lex Stigler, sibling Jim (Susie) Stigler and Gloria (Paul) Bogacz, brother-in-law Chris Wilburn, sisters-in-law Evalyn (Wayne) Downen and Alison (Brian) Haldorson, uncle Ray Hanz, nieces and nephews Lauren, Emily, Danielle, Andrew, Ashley, Jacob, Stephanie, Stephen, Mason, Sarah and Brian and his faithful canine companions Koi, Holden and Sally. Preceded in death by his parents-in-law Mary and Mason Wilbern. Bob was a graduate of Lincoln-Way Central High School. Bob had many hobbies, among them were building model motorcycles and cars, puzzles, fishing, camping, and he especially enjoyed hunting. Bob was very mechanically inclined and could fix or build just about anything. He also owned and operated his own business for several years. Bob was a kind and generous soul who never knew a stranger and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral service and a time of sharing will take place on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at 6:00 P.M. at Forsythe Gould Funeral Home. Visitation will take place the same day from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service. Inurnment Wilton Cemetery, Wilton Center will take place on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 10:30 AM from the funeral home in procession for committal service at 11:00 AM.
