Joseph Earl Bunting, 72, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 PM in Pinewood Memorial Park. Son of the late Vernon & Virginia Bunting, Joseph was a Pitt County native and attended Stokes School. He later began a career with Vermont American, dedicating almost 40 years of service to the company. In addition to his late parents, Joseph was preceded in death by daughter, Tammy Bunting; two sisters, Betty Lou Moore & Linda Knox; and two brothers, James Bunting & Woodrow Bunting. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janice Foskey Bunting; son, Joseph Bunting, Jr and wife, Emily of Farmville; and daughter, Tina Worthington and husband, Tommy of Greenville; two granddaughters, Jessica Oliver and husband, Colton of Fayetteville & Kaitlyn Bunting of Farmville; grandson, Branden Bunting of Farmville; and three sisters, Roslie Cherry of Greenville, Mary Frances Collins of Fayetteville, & Hazel Bunting of Greenville.
