Grover NC-- Charles Jacob Day, 46, of Grover, passed away on Sunday, June 19th, 2022, at Atrium Health Cleveland.

Born in Shelby, North Carolina, he was the son of Charles Donald Day and Catherine Blanton Day. He worked at Verizon.

In addition to his parents, Charles is survived by his son, Grayson Day; his brothers, Anthony Day (Kim) and Neal Day (Dianne); his sister, Vickie Day Alexander (Joey); his life partner, Stacy Brown; his stepchildren, Chloe Ernst and Elijah Ernst; and seven nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Samuel Day.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Hopewell Baptist Church from 3:30-4:00 pm. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4:00 pm with Rev. Virgil Hampton officiating. Interment will be at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery. Neal Day, Anthony Day, Jason Nestlerode, Brandon Nestlerode, Will Cobb, and Joey Alexander will serve as pallbearers.

The family will be at the residence at 916 Cleveland Avenue in Grover, NC..
