He and Betty went on to raise a family of five. He instilled in his children many of his strong attributes including the importance of faith, family, hard work and honesty just to name a few. Harry enjoyed his role as a grandfather and then later a great grandfather. The summers at the shore and visits to Florida with his grandchildren gave him great joy and kept him young. When we added the great grandchildren, he was over the moon. Harry spent his career serving as the managing partner of Liebert, Short and Hirshland. He started his career focusing on insurance defense litigation. By the time he retired from trial work, he was one of the top Products Liability and Medical Malpractice defense attorneys in Philadelphia. He mentored numerous young associates over his 43-year career many of whom went on to have successful litigation careers in their own right.
