CAROL J. BEAUDOIN, 87 of Royal Oak, MI, formerly of Stephenson, MI, passed away on Tuesday June 14, 2022 surrounded by family. The former Carol Jean Forsberg was born on February 27, 1935 in Wallace, MI to Gust and Elizabeth (Krause) Forsberg. Carol was a 1953 graduate of Stephenson High School. On February 4, 1956, Carol married Mose Beaudoin Jr. at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Stephenson, MI. Her beloved husband Mose preceded her in death on February 26, 1995. Carol worked as a social worker for the Powers-Spalding Community Action Agency and Menominee County Rural Health Services for many years. A true people person, Carol enjoyed volunteering and helping others throughout her life. While living downstate in Royal Oak, MI she assisted & cared for many elderly residents of her building with care and compassion. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church and a former Foster Grandparent. She also served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Menominee County and member of the Stephenson School Board, Menominee County Rural Health Services Board and the Men-o-mee Activity Center Board. Carol is survived by her 6 sons: Perry (Debbie) of Stephenson, MI, Todd (Christina) of Allendale, MI, Dana of Victorville, CA, Kipp (Tami) of Manistique, MI, Christian (Christine) of Berkley, MI and Jedd (Katie) of Wichita, KS; 9 grandchildren – Ryan Beaudoin, Aaron Beaudoin, Ana Beaudoin, Hilding (Katie) Beaudoin, Collin Beaudoin, Emma Beaudoin, Kylie Beaudoin, Margaret Beaudoin and Elizabeth Beaudoin; 1 great grandchild – Bjorn Beaudoin; and many beloved nieces and nephews who knew her love, care and guidance. Carol was preceded in death by her infant daughter Leah who remained in her heart all these years. She was also preceded in death by her parents along with siblings: Lester Forsberg, Dorothy Blom, Eleanor (Chubb) Szabo, Herman Forsberg and Roger Forsberg. She is also preceded in death by her in-laws: Mose (Sr.) & Flora Beaudoin, Agnes & Stanley Skryzypinski and Ruby & Chuck Bergold. Visitation for Carol will be held at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home on Sunday June 19, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm with Scripture Service at 6:00 pm and again on Monday June 20th from 11:30 am until 12:45 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Carol at Precious Blood Catholic Church on Monday June 20, 2022 at 1:00 pm with Father Jeff Kurtz presiding. Burial will follow in the Mellen Township Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established to assist with funeral expenses.
