Elizabeth Grace Shambrook, known to all as Lily, was born on May 29, 2019, to beloved parents Tim Shambrook and Kate Snow.  Lily passed away on June 9, 2022. 

Lily is survived by her loving Grandparents: Paul “Da” and Judy “Gram” Snow, and Bill “Granddad” and Judy “Nana” Shambrook, Great Uncles and Great Aunts: Rick and Jane Schneider, John and Margaret Snow, Tom and Mary Snow, Uncles and Aunts: Healy and Beth Snow, Sean and Adrienne Shambrook, Andrew and Rozie Shambrook, Annie Snow, Nick Snow, Arthur "Artie" Snow, Matthew and Adrianna Schneider, Willie Schneider, Bridget Schneider, Cousins: Claire and Church Shambrook, Paxon and Quinn Snow, Easton Schneider, dear friends “Aunt” Brittany, “Uncle” Mike, and Miles.  Lily is reunited with her doting Uncle Luke Schneider in Heaven. 

Lily’s world was vast. Her footprints wandered the neighborhoods from Uptown to Downtown and everywhere in between.  When on daily walks, Lily would announce “I want to go there!” and new territories for adventure would be discovered!  Lily loved the Chicago Lakefront and Shoreline, making her first boat delivery at 2 ½ years old.  Lily was a “frequent flyer” of members hour at the Art Institute of Chicago, well-known by the guards in her favorite galleries.  She was a “little commuter” on the Metra Union Pacific Northline (UP-N) often asking the train operators and other passengers their names.  Lily loved her teachers and friends at Tiny Giants, swimming classes at Welles Park with her Daddy, and camp at St. Chrysostom’s Day School.    

Lily’s inquisitive mind, wonderment of nature, joyful spirit, grit and grace made an imprint on all those who entered into her life young and old, known and unknown.  Lily welcomed all into her world. 

Services have been held.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Lily’s Rainbow Memorial Fund to honor the life of Lily through a named scholarship to St. Chrysostom’s Day School and Flower Garden, and/or Bike Lane Uprising, an advocate group for safe bike lanes.
