Richard J. LaChance

Richard J. LaChance, 68, of Gorham, passed away on Saturday June 11, 2022 at his home. He was born in Berlin, NH on November 21, 1953 the son of Edward J. and Jennie T. (Robak) LaChance and was a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from Gorham High School and the Vocational Technical College in Berlin. He had been employed by Berlin City Dealerships for 25 y ears. Richard enjoyed doing woodworking, collecting model cars and riding his motorcycle. He was a member of Holy Family Church. Family includes his sisters Mary Payson of Gorham, NH, Gloria Byrne and husband Robert of Gorham, NH and Patricia Martel of Minot, ME; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents. Funeral Services will be held on Friday June 17, 2022 at 1 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham, NH. Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 12 to 1 PM, prior to the service. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society. Dick was a quiet guy, a decent guy. I've known him since we were kids. In later years, I'd see him in church. I always enjoyed talking with him. Dick will be missed. May God rest his soul.
