Ms. Gvahn Delores "Mickey" Stewart, age 87 of Winnsboro, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at her home. She was born on October 6, 1934, in Winnsboro, Texas to the late Hal Lee Christian and Mattie Ludine White Christian.
Mickey retired from teaching kindergarten in Abilene, Texas in 1981. She was a member of the A.K.A. Sorority, the T.EA. and a founding member of H.Y.P.E (Helping Young People Excel) She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Winnsboro where she was Nursery and Sunday School Teacher. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Clinton Lewis Kelly; brothers, Harold and Ralph Christian of Abilene, Texas, of Harold’s Barbeque. Survivors include her children, DeBorah LaNier of Grand Prairie, Reginald Eugene Williams of St. Louis, Missouri, Trevor Bene’t Williams of Bonham, Michael Keith Stewart of Grand Prairie, and Michelle Massey of Winnsboro; brother, Milow K. Christian of Tyler; twenty-one grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Active Pallbearers Arniclus Harris, Jordan Massey, Michael Paul Henderson, Brandon Henderson, Ashton Slaughter, Marshall Lanier, III and, Anthony Jackson. Honorary Pallbearers Vincent Williams, Lealon Garrison, Eugene Leaks, Freddie Jones, Terry Wells, Tedrick Shepherd, Sr., and Russell Christian.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at First United Methodist Church of Winnsboro 301 Church St Winnsboro, Texas at 1:00 pm, Pastor Debbie Lyons, Pastor Henry Suche and Pastor Greg Duffey conducting. Interment will follow at Hay Cemetery in Winnsboro. Active Pallbearers Arniclus Harris, Jordan Massey, Michael Paul Henderson, Brandon Henderson, Ashton Slaughter, Marshall Lanier, III and, Anthony Jackson. Honorary Pallbearers Vincent Williams, Lealon Garrison, Eugene Leaks, Freddie Jones, Terry Wells, Tedrick Shepherd, Sr., and Russell Christian.
