Our dear mother, Joyce Keuper Schumer, passed away peacefully on May 28th at the age of 87. She was a wonderful, caring mother that always doted on her sons and daughter in law. Joyce was raised in Ohio where she met and married her husband, John(Jack) Schumer. They then moved to South Florida where they lived and raised their family. Prior to retirement, Joyce was a kindergarten teacher as well as a piano teacher. She enjoyed boating, fishing, needlepoint and mainly spending time with her family and friends. Joyce is survived by her sons John Schumer (Beth Schumer) and Christopher Schumer, nephew Randy Vice, her life long friend, Jean Jett and many other close friends. She is proceeded in death by her husband of 50 years, John (Jack) Schumer and her sister Betty Vice. Joyce will be sorely missed by her family and friends. A private service will be held at a later date.
