Randolph Douglas Sites Obituary

Randolph Douglas Sites Jr died peacefully on June 2nd, 2022, at Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown, NH. He was 90 years old. Randy was born to Randolph Douglas Sites Sr. and Sallie Sites on July 14th, 1931, in Bronx, New York. After graduating from Brown University with his PhD in chemistry, he enjoyed a long career as a chemist. An avid tennis and golf player, Randy also enjoyed watching and discussing sports. Fortunately, Randy was able to spend his final week watching the French Open. However, his wife Mary was quick to point out her disappointment that he missed the finals. Randy also had an affinity for birdwatching and all animals. While his favorite animals were lions and tigers, Randy was forced to settle with dogs and housecats as his companion animals throughout his life. He loved them all deeply. Randy was predeceased by his siblings, Nancy Dawson of Westbury, NY, and Wyatt Sites of Lynnhaven, FL. He is survived by his lovely and devoted wife of 68 years, Mary E. Sites. If anyone could out-debate Randy, it was Mary. Randy is also survived by his daughter Karen N. Sites of Boulder, Colorado, his son Douglas W. Sites and his wife Nancy of Milford, NH, and his daughter Sally E. Sites and her partner Michael W. Hagerty of Goffstown, NH. Randy also had three grandchildren, Fred D. Sites and his partner Cassie Brown of Glenbrook, NV, Abigail M. Sites and Amelia R. Sites, both of Milford, NH. A visitation and service to remember and celebrate Randy's life will be held at French and Rising Funeral Home at 17 South Mast Rd, Goffstown, NH, on Tuesday, June 14th, from 2pm-4pm. All are welcome to attend and share a memory. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue at ygrr.org, in Randy's honor, as his love for dogs far outweighed his love of flowers. Randy's family extends a sincere thank you to all of the staff at Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown, NH, for caring for him and providing him with much dignity for the last year of his life. Thank you, your work is meaningful and very much appreciated.
