James Michael Curley

<p>James Michael Curley, age 78, passed away 06/06/2022 in Ship Bottom, NJ.&nbsp;</p> <p>He was born May 2, 1944, in Tenafly, NJ, the son of Hugh and Mary Curley. Jim graduated from Bergen Catholic High School, received a BA from Boston College and an MA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. For many years, Jim was the Operations Manager&nbsp;at&nbsp;N V Business Publishers Corporation,&nbsp;Avon-by-the-Sea, New Jersey. &nbsp;Jim loved his hometown of Ship Bottom where he served as a member of the LBI Library Board and as a freelance writer, he was a frequent contributor to The Sand Paper.&nbsp; He was proud of his Irish heritage and was a longstanding member and president of the Amergael club of Stafford Township.</p> <p>He is survived by three of his four&nbsp;brothers Jack, Tom, and Kevin; nieces and nephews Eileen, Caroline, Catherine, Debbie, Mark, Pat, Brendan, Brian, and Dennis, and eight&nbsp;great nieces and nephews.&nbsp; He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Hugh.&nbsp;</p> <p>A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Brant Beach.&nbsp; The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM followed by mass at 11 AM. Memorial contributions can be made to Boston College or the LBI Library.</p>
