David G. Forbes

Farmington – David Gordon Forbes, age 61, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 2, 2022, with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by two sons, Conrad (Valerie) Forbes and Patric Forbes (Corrine Steltz); grandson, Matthieu Gordon Forbes, who was born on Dave’s birthday this year; brother, Bruce (Jennifer) Forbes; two sisters, Shari (Kyle) Marianacci and Diane (James) Rogers; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Dave was predeceased by his parents G. Richard “Dick” Forbes and Norma (Kennedy) Marble. Dave was born in Canandaigua and raised in Bloomfield. He was a graduate of Bloomfield Central School, class of 1979. Following graduation, he served in the US Army and was stationed in Fort Gordon, Georgia, and Germany. Dave was an electrical engineer and worked at IEC Electronics in Newark for over 20 years. He was an avid reader and enjoyed military history. Dave was a Buffalo Bills fanatic and loved sports. He enjoyed golfing and bowling with his sons and driving his Camaro and Mustang. Friends may call Monday, June 13, from 4 – 7pm at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc., 2 South Ave., Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wilmot Cancer Center Institute, Office of Advancement, 300 E. River Road, PO Box 278996, Rochester, NY 14627.
