Melody Rae Thompson age 67 of Bonnieville passed away Thursday, June 2nd at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. She was born in Barre, Vermont to the late Robert & Elizabeth McKnight Launderville. She was her husband were successful owners a sporting goods store that they opened in Vermont before retiring and moving to Kentucky. She was preceded in death by a sister Sherry Haley. Melody is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years Leon; two sons George L. Thompson and Robert F. Thompson; four grandchildren Melinda, George, Hunter & Taylor; one-great-granddaughter Sophie; one brother Russell Launderville and two sisters Lura Bullard & Cynthia Cyr. Visitation for Melody Rae Thompson will be Wednesday from 3-5pm at the Sego Funeral Home with cremation to follow.
