Chambers, 71 of Atlantic Highlands, NJ died Saturday, <br /> November 28, 2020, peacefully at home. <br /> <br /> Joe served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was employed by Irwin Marine, in Red Bank, before his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with friends, fishing, woodworking, playing his guitar and going to see his friends' band "Inversion Circus". He had a passion for music, nature (countless handmade feeders) and the many animals that came into his life, Darla, Millie, Dylan, Andrea, and Captain. Over 100 greyhounds rescued and six of his own dogs. <br /> <br /> You read all the time that he was one of a kind and will be deeply missed, and it is very true. He always had a smile and left everyone with a smile on their face and a good laugh. He had an amazing sense of humor. He truly was "one of a kind". <br /> <br /> Joe is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Mary Chambers, niece, Jennifer Chambers, brother-in-law, Ronald Clabbers, in-laws Joseph and Theresa Desiata. He is survived by his companion and wife of 34 years, Aileen Desiata, brother Michael (wife) Diane of Newport Rhode Island, brother Edward (wife) Sandra of Aiken SC, brother-in-law Joseph Desiata (wife) Linda of Kenneth Square PA, sisters-in-law Michelle Nielsen (husband) George of Southhaven, MS and Theresa Schiltz and (husband) David of West Chester PA. 10 nieces and nephews.
