Kyline C. Avey

Kyline Christina “Chrisy” Avey, age 41, of Newburg, passed away June 2, 2022. She was born in Chambersburg, a daughter of Jeffrey L. and Virginia “Kyline” (Rosenberry) Keefer. Chrisy was head of security for Allen Distribution in Carlisle. She received her Bachelors of Criminal Justice from Penn State Mont Alto, was a former member of Lurgan United Brethren Church, a member of the MOOSE in Carlisle and a member in a pool league at Blue Mountain APA. She loved spending time with her family, shooting pool, crocheting and playing corn hole. Chrisy made corn hole boards and donated them to various organizations to be raffled off to raise money for someone in need. Kyline is survived by her parents, daughter, Kyla Mae Hause and fiancé, Kenneth Dana of Chambersburg, sons; Keaton Gaige Wilt of Fayetteville and Dawson Glen Avey and wife, Ashlan Dionne of Midway Park, NC, grandchildren; Kaydee Graham, Laiken Avey and Kendal Alyk Dana, due in August, sister, Michelle Elizabeth and husband, EJ Helman of Shippensburg, maternal grandmother, Virginia G. Starliper of Shippensburg and five nephews and two nieces of Shippensburg. Chrisy was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Melvin S. Rosenberry Jr., paternal grandparents, Paul C. and Elsie V. Keefer and cousin, Gene E. Keefer. Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, where family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 7 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, Hillman Cancer Center, UPMC Cancer Pavilion, Suite 1B, 5150 Centre Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15232 or Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
