Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our Dad, Philip L. Sorensen, which occurred on June 2, 2022, at Saint John, NB.  He was a very loving father and was always so proud of his girls.

He loved his job as a machinist at the Saint John Drydock where he had worked for many years.  Dad was loved by all that knew him and was always giving a helping hand to those who needed it.  He was an avid reader and loved the water and anything to do with it.  He loved to talk to anyone who would listen (LOL).  He loved his children and grandchildren most of all and we are going to miss him deeply.  Once we were your angels dad, and now you are ours.  Soar with the Angels.

Philip was born in Saint John, January 18, 1947, to the late Peter and Catherine (Graves) Sorensen.  He is survived by his daughters; Julie Ann Sorensen and Shaye Lyn Horne, his beautiful grandchildren; Daenen Tieu, Maci Horne and Jackson Horne, his brother Gary Burchill, his sister Nancy MacDonald, along with several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). In keeping with Philip's wishes there will not be visitation or a funeral service.  Memorial donations may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
