DIXON – Dawn M. Moriarity, age 45, died Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Serenity Hospice Home in Oregon surrounded by family. After a 4 year battle with ovarian cancer. Dawn was born on September 23, 1976 in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of Robert and Janice (Koppes) Moriarity. She attended Cascade Iowa area schools. Dawn graduated from Iowa State University where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Microbiology. She was employed as a Q.A. Manager within food safety companies. Dawn enjoyed to travel and has been to several foreign countries. She was an avid animal lover and member of ASPCA. She is survived by her parents, Robert and Janice Moriarty of Cascade, Iowa; two sisters, Beth (Edward) Graves of Springville, Iowa and Leia (Rob) Schilling of Worthington, Iowa; four nieces and nephews, Noah and Sophia Graves, Lily and Greyson Schilling. She was preceded in death by her fiance, Joe Garza; maternal and paternal grandparents. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were completed by the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. In lieu of flowers her wish is to donate to local humane society.
