Robert Keith Rutledge Sr.
<p>Robert Keith Rutledge Sr., 51, of Roberts, passed away at 11:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at his home.</p> <p>Robert was born on April 9, 1971, in Hoopeston, the son of Harry Kline and Ruth Rutledge. He married Angela Wernigk on August 19, 2000, in Armstrong, Illinois. She survives.</p> <p>He is also survived by one daughter- Rachel Rutledge of St. Louis, Missouri; one son-Robert (Catt) Rutledge Jr. of St. Charles, Missouri; three step-daughters- April (Jeff) Coe of Loda, Michelle (Kyle) Maness of Paxton and Megan Shumate of Champaign; one “adopted” son- James Layden of Allerton; sixteen grandchildren; two brothers- Matt (Tracy) Lile of Louisville, Kentucky and Ricky (Lea ann) Lile of Hoopeston; two sisters- Kim (James) Kissinger of Cave City, Kentucky and Brenda Kline of St. Charles, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents and brother- Brent Kline.</p> <p>Robert worked for several years as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, camping, tying flies for fly fishing and his greatest love was riding on his Harley. </p> <p>According to his wishes cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family has entrusted the Blurton Funeral Home, in Potomac, to assist them in honoring Robert’s life.
