Edward J. O'Connor Obituary

Edward J. O’Connor, age 74, of Plymouth, formerly of South Boston, passed away on Saturday, May 21st, at the BID Hospital in Plymouth. He was the long-term partner of Nanci Harran. Loving father of Bobby O’Connor and his wife Heather of Plymouth, and the late Mark O’Connor. Grandfather of Hannah, Haleigh, Madison, Vanessa, Emily, and Izzy. Great grandfather of Gannon, Tanner, Alma, and Reuben. Edward is also survived by his sisters Patricia Lee of South Boston, and Janet O’Connor of Braintree. As well as the mother of his children Lillian O’Connor of Plymouth, and the children and grandchildren of his partner Nanci; Seach Harran, his wife Lissette and their daughter Ryen-Bell, and Michael O’Harran, his wife Natalie and their children Gabriel, Shannon and Kiera. Born in Boston on June 28, 1947, son of the late Francis J. and Rita P. (Barrett) O’Connor. He was a graduate of Christopher Columbus High School. Edward served his country in the United States Marine reserves. He later made his career as a union representative for Verizon. Following retirement, Edward drove a school bus for First Student for over 20 years. He loved sports, as well as to vacation and travel. One of Edwards’s favorite places to be was the beach. He was an all-around genuine guy and is going to be missed by his loving family, friends, and his dog Gracie. A visitation will be held at the Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 373 Court St. (North) Plymouth, on Friday, June 24th, from 4:00 pm till 7:00 pm. Followed by a service in the funeral home at 7:00 pm. Donations in Edward's memory may be made to Helping Hands of the Plymouth Animal Shelter, PO Box 214, Manomet MA 02345.
