Grandma will always be in the hearts of her grandchildren&nbsp; Ashley, Lauren, Shannon, Travis, Ian, James, Charles and&nbsp; Great Grandchildren Landon, Holden, Ire, Ella, Nixon, Kinsley&nbsp;and Amaya. She is also&nbsp; survived by her sister Dorothy and brother Tom (Carol) and their families as well as many nephews and nieces across Canada and in the U.S.<br /> Beth was born in Winnipeg Aug 13,1930 and the 4th of 8 children. She was raised on a Saskatchewan farm near Tisdale during the depression era and developed a strong work ethic early in life. She had a very strong bond with her siblings that was forever present.<br /> Beth attended Normal School in Winnipeg when she was 19&nbsp; and taught school in the rural areas of Manitoba. It was when she had the teaching position at Victoria Lake School that she met Gene. They were married in 1951 and resided on their farm in the Henderson School District for over 65 years.<br /> She kept a garden, preserved vegetables, canned fruit , baked bread, milked cows, raised chickens and sewed. Not to mention raising her family!<br /> In 1969 she went to work as a Health Care Aide and retired after 18 years of service. Despite her busy schedule she always made time for family and friends<br /> In retirement she took up a past pleasure of painting and did many beautiful pictures of dogs, horses and scenery. Gene and Beth enjoyed taking short&nbsp; trips to see different points of interest in Canada and the U.S. They often visited family and friends in their travels. Beth always had a love for animals and spent a lot of time with a dog in tow in the latter years.<br /> Beth and Gene left their farm in 2016 and moved into Lakeview Gardens in 2017. Due to ongoing health change Beth moved into Bayside Personal Care Home in 2021. She remained positive and kind throughout her illness and grateful for the care she received, A special thank you to the the staff at Bayside Unit 2 for their loving care.<br /> In lieu of flowers ,if friends or family desire, donations can be made to Cancer Care or the Alzheimer&#39;s Association.</p>
