Lonnie James Gammon III, 60, entered into his heavenly home on May 27, 2022. He was born in Danville, VA on August 21, 1961 to the late Frances Hancock Gammon and the late Lonnie James Gammon Jr.
He was of the Baptist faith and the owner/operator of First Quality Roofing.
Lonnie is survived by his wife; Susan Gammon, daughter; Kandyce Gammon of Hampton, VA., brother; Matthew Gammon (Cathy) of Pelham, NC., sister; Cindy Scearce (Allen) of Pelham, NC., uncle; Troy Hancock, aunts; Linda Hancock, Dorothy Mitchell & Nancy Goodman, nephew; Matthew Gammon Jr., nieces; Jessica Oakes, Selina Collins, Ashley Gammon Green and Rebecca Squier and a special dog; Zero.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his grandmother; Thelma Hancock and grandfather; Dexter Hancock, Sr.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 6:00 to 7:30PM at Norris Funeral Home West End Chapel. A funeral will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 1:00PM at Norris Funeral Home West End Chapel with Pastor Michael Kent officiating. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to ASPCA and Danville Humane Society.
