Melissa Marie (Pintal) Mai, age 35 of Bloomington, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at IU Health Methodist. Born April 23, 1982 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, she was the daughter of Walter and Katherine (Tibor) Pintal. Melissa loved music, drawing, photography, crafting and baking. She was an aerialist with the Bloomington Flight Club. Melissa loved animals and volunteered at the Monroe County Animal Shelter. Survivors include her husband Mecco Mai, whom she married May 27, 2006; her father, Walter Pintal and her stepmother Dina Pintal, her siblings Megan and Matt Pintal, all of Plymouth, Indiana; her mother in law and father in law June and Glenn East of Seymour; her father in law, Minh Mai of Columbus; her sister in law Mindy Mai of Columbus; her grandmother in law and grandfather in law, Helen and Roy Richards of Seymour; and her beloved cat, Cheeto. She was preceded in death by her mother and her maternal and paternal grandmothers, Millie Tibor and Madge Pintal. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday August 26, 2017 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 East 3rd Street, Bloomington, IN. Visitation will be Saturday after 12:00 PM until the time of service at 2:00 PM. Memorials can be made at the funeral home to the Melissa Mai Memorial Fund.
