Angela Fay Swain was born on August 6, 1974 in Lexington County, South Carolina, daughter of Carolyn Oxendine Swain and the late Alvin Swain. Angela worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant with Richmond Memorial Hospital for many years until her medical retirement. She was a member of East Laurinburg Baptist Church. Angela enjoyed shopping, but the most precious times were those spent with family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving and caring, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will truly be missed. Angela passed away at the age of 47 on May 24, 2022.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by brother, Charlie Boring; grandmother, Edna Oxendine; granddaughter, Christianna Swain; stepfathers, Eugene McPherson and Roger Elmore.  

Angela leaves behind her sons, Christopher Swain (Chloe), Charles Ronald Swain (Shaniece), Nicolas Swain (Toya), all of Laurinburg, Clifton Starling of Lumberton; daughter, Angie Jones (Calvin) of Laurinburg; mother, Carolyn Oxendine Elmore of the home; grandchildren, Charles Swain, Jr., Tyler Swain, Charlene Swain, London Swain, Maddison Wall, Christy Swain, Christopher Jones; special friends, Ronald Starling and Roy Staton, along with her extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. Richard Tyson. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
