Carol Wilk

Carol Wilk died on Monday, May 23, 2022 at her home following a long battle with cancer. She was 62. Born and raised in Rockaway Borough to the late Joseph and Helen Kocur, she settled in Bergenfield 40 years ago. Mrs. Wilk attended Rockaway Borough Schools and graduated from Morris Hills High School in 1977. Afterwards, Mrs. Wilk was a Project Director for Newsweek International magazine, later working as a Project Director at Prime Global, New York, NY.  Spending time with family was her greatest joy.  She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Kazimierz "Casey" Wilk; her adored son, Christopher Wilk and wife Sarah; her most precious grandsons, Owen and Lincoln Wilk; dear brother, Joseph G. Kocur and his wife Joanne; brother-in-law: Janek Wilk and his wife Lidia. She is also survived by many dear cousins, nieces and nephews and her childhood best friend, Darlene. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Holy Name Hospice in Teaneck, especially Nurse Jen, for the exceptional care during Carol's last weeks.  Visitation hours will be held on Thursday, May 26 at 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Whitham-Kanapaux Funeral Home, 20 Keller Ave, Rockaway. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 27 at 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia Church, 70 Church St. Rockaway, NJ. Private inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Rockaway.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Wilk's name may be made to: Holy Name Hospice, 718 Teaneck Rd, Teaneck NJ 07666.
