Mary Lou Hill

Mary Lou Hill, 83, of Petal passed away on May 22, 2022 at her home. Services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Moore Funeral Home in Petal at 1:30 P.M. followed by burial in Morriston Cemetery. Mrs. Hill was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed playing bingo. She loved people and help others. She was preceded in death by a son, James “Tiger” Lovett; her first husband, Thomas Lovett, Sr; her parents, Manuel John and Mary Frances Blackwell Smith; and four siblings, James Smith, John Smith, Minzie Hill, and Lena Lovett. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Jack Hill, Sr. of Petal; eight children, Thomas Lovett, Jr. (Dottie) of Moselle, Belinda Thornton (Freddie) of Ellisville, William Lovett (Carol) of Biloxi, Patricia Lovett of Kiln, Patricia Clark (Carlton) of Moselle, Roy Lovett (Sandy) of Moselle, Allen Lovett of Petal, Billy Jack Hill (Leslie) of Petal, and Tharun Hill of Petal; three sisters, Gwendolyn Fay Reid of Petal, Wanda Taylor (Colden Clark) of Ovett, and Frances Darlene Phillips (Danny Ray) of Moselle; and ninety-three grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Moore Funeral Home in Petal from 5 P.M. until 9 P.M.
