Beverly A. Fahrney

Mrs. Beverly A. Fahrney, 82, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Sunday morning, May 22, 2022, surrounded by her family in her home. Born October 29, 1939 in Welsh Run, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leonard C. and Leoda V. (Meyers) Baer. Mrs. Fahrney graduated from James Buchanan High School, Mercersburg, PA with the Class of 1958. She and her husband, the late Donald L. Fahrney, were married on April 11, 1959 at St. Stephen’s Reformed Church, Upton, PA. Mr. Fahrney died on October 10, 2019. Mrs. Fahrney worked at Agway, Waynesboro as a bookkeeper for over 15 years. Throughout her life, she owned and operated an income tax preparation service. She retired in 2012. She was a member of Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church, Waynesboro and enjoyed gardening, sewing, embroidery, photography and scrapbooking. She is survived by three children, Douglas L. Fahrney, Rhonda L. Stoner and her husband, Lynn, and Leslie D. Fahrney, all of Waynesboro; five grandchildren, Meagan (Fahrney) Scheiber, Emily Stover, Daniel Fahrney, Andy Stoner, and Donnie Stoner; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 26, 2022 in The Auditorium at Five Forks Brethren in Christ Church, 9244 Five Forks Road, Waynesboro with Pastor Ray Kipe officiating. Burial will follow in Grindstone Hill Cemetery, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Wednesday evening, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro and one hour prior to the services, Thursday morning, at the church.
