Bruce Wilfred Vilandre, 69 of New Bedford, passed away at home on Friday, May 20th. Born in Southbridge, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Roland E. and Jacklyn Vilandre. A 7 year veteran of the Vietnam War where he served in the United States Army, Bruce was a painter by trade and a dedicated worker. Survivors include his son, Eric Vilandre and wife, Kim; daughter, Amber Vilandre; brother, Michael Vilandre and wife Mary; half brothers, Shane Savoy, Roland Savoy; Sisters, Pat Zabo, Sue Trethway, Julie Guanmond, Sheila, Sherri; grandchildren, Amanda Cummings, Heather Cummings, Sierra Spargo, Dakota Spargo and many nieces and nephews. Bruce is preceded in death by his sister, Debbie. A graveside service will be held for Bruce on Tuesday, June 14th at 11:15am at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Please arrive at Boulevard Funeral Home by 10:00am to follow in procession to the cemetery.
