Catherine E. Schmidt Brooklyn, New York Obituary

Catherine E. Schmidt

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cathie Schmidt on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Cathie was a loving sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece, cousin, and godmother. She was a devoted sister to Lorette, Karen, George, John, Patricia, and Richard and sister-in-law to Marty, Jeannine, Donna, Eric and Dante. She was a loving aunt to Eric, Matt, Ashly, Marissa, and Johnny. A cherished and great friend to so many - her circle of friends speak to her devotion, love and loyalty, She dedicated her life to helping people, spending much of her career at Lutheran Medical Center in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. She brought that same caring to her personal life, often taking the role of caretaker for family and friends. She always made us laugh even in the toughest of times and she will be greatly missed.

A life dedicated to health care and I recall her dedication in the late 70,s as a medical student and the early 89’s as a medical resident. May she Rest In Peace. Condolences too the family and friends and coworkers.
