Mildred Lucille Delasbour-Jones was born on August 14, 1930, to the late Anna Johnson-Delasbour and Eugene Delasbour, Sr., in Franklin, LA. She went to be with the Lord on May 13, 2022, in San Antonio, TX. Baptized at infancy and confirmed in the Catholic faith, she was a long-time member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Mildred (also known as Lucille, Nan, Auntie, Mommie, Moe Moe, and Grandma) was the proud sister of fifteen siblings, ten brothers and five sisters. She married her lifetime partner, Bernard Louis Jones (Joe) (MSgt USAF retired), on July 28, 1956. They were married for 41 years before he preceded her in death on September 19, 1998. To this union, they were blessed with five wonderful children: Bernard E. Jones, Brenda F. Jones, Linda G. Dykes, Wanda N. Harden, and Charles R. Jones. She was also blessed to have five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mildred created a happy, nurturing and faithful household and, alongside her husband, traveled the world in service to United States Air Force and this country. She also worked for various school districts throughout the years and wherever Bernard’s (Joe) military duties relocated them. Mildred’s family and friends mourn her loss, but cherish the legacy of a beloved matriarch.
