Diane Hayward, 68, beloved wife of the late Roger E. Hayward, Jr. passed away Wednesday May 18, 2022. She was born February 27, 1954 in Los Angeles, CA a daughter of the late Frederick and Ruby (Lambertson) Coons and had lived in Moosup for over 40 years, recently moving to Lisbon. She had been employed as a CNA for many years and absolutely adored the elderly. She grew very attached to her assigned residents and always went above and beyond what was expected of her. In turn residents adored Diane and she was chosen as their favorite CNA on many occasions. She leaves a son Michael (Kathleen) Hayward; 2 grandchildren Daniel and Emma; a stepson Robert Hayward; a brother John Coons; 3 sisters Yvonne E. McClintock, Nina Coons and Alice Morse; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers Bernard and Frederick Coons. Funeral and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
