Sherra Lee Fritch, age 87, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022. She was born in Traverse City, MI on July 17, 1934 to David & Mary (Kohn) Nugent. Sherra graduated from Mesick High School and then went on to earn a teaching degree from Alma College and Michigan State University. She married Robert Fritch on Aug. 25, 1959 and he preceded her in death. Sherra was the Home Economics teacher at Fruitport Jr. and Sr. High School until retiring after 33 years. She was a member of Forest Park Covenant Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. In retirement she loved visiting far away places with friends and the Orchard View Travelers. Sherra loved to cook, sew, and decorate. Truly the HOMEMAKER she so enthusiastically tried to teach others to be as well. She was a wonderful pianist and organist and loved singing at Church and with her Choir groups. . She was always diligent to get to Breakfast Club with the girls, loved eating at every new Restaurant around, and liked her early morning exercise classes at the YMCA. She cherished time with her grandchildren, and especially her daughter, who she chose to adopt and spent her whole life being the love of Jesus to her. Her soul was one that was extremely rare. If you knew her, she loved you. Her smile lit up every space she was in. As did her big big heart. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Daughter, Licia (Robert Mura) Fritch of North Muskegon, Grandchildren, Lidia Carty, Lliam Carty, Amber Gardner; And the hundreds of students to whom she taught the art of Home Economics.
