Curtis had owned and operated Jackson Builders in Goldsboro for over 30 years before his retirement. He was a member of Rosewood First Baptist Church. Curtis had also served as the Chief of the Mar-Mac Volunteer Fire Department from 1969 -1977. Curtis had a wonderful sense of humor and never took himself too seriously. He was a good friend, a great father and had a generous heart. He provided a wonderful home for his family and gave all he could to his family and strangers alike. While in retirement he continued to enjoy boating, fishing and supporting the North Carolina Wolfpack. He had a lasting impact on everyone he met and will be dearly missed. Curtis greatest joy was spending time with family and friends and telling his special stories. A service celebrating Curtis life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Rosewood First Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Collier officiating. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. Curtis is survived by his wife, Delilah Sue Jackson; daughter, Beverly J. Warren of Goldsboro; sister, Judy J. Carroll; sister-in-law, Charlotte Jackson and grandchildren, Emily Warren, Jackson Warren, Brandon Jackson, and Christopher Jackson.
