The family of Edward Duane "Art" Hill, age 71, announces that he passed away peacefully, May 9, 2022, at his home in Winooski. He was born in Burlington, August 15, 1950 to Wallace and Pearl (Hubbard) Hill. Art was a mechanic for some time. He was well known for his love of playing the guitar, and spending time fishing.
He is survived by one daughter, Amanda Johnson (David) of Sheldon; four grandchildren, Bryce Gooding of Swanton, J.D. Caplinger of Sheldon, Emilyn Caplinger of Sheldon, and Reagan Johnson; one great-grandson, Grayson Gooding; a step-son Matthew Barnes of St. Albans, and three siblings, Grace Lettow (Axel) of Hardwick, Starlene Bullis of FL, and Ray Hill (Heather) of Fairfax, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Martha Dezotell and her husband Nelson, and brother-in-law Cliff Bullis.
A Remembrance Gathering and Interment will be held Monday, May 23rd, 2022 in St. Albans Bay Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
