Aline York Woodard, 97, passed away Saturday. A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Herbert and Alma Formy Duval York and was the widow of John Edward Woodard. Mrs. Woodard was a homemaker and a member of Salem United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Woodard at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with the Jane Gale Woodard presiding. A private interment will be at Wayne Memorial Park. Surviving are daughters, Jeanine W. Parrott and husband Joseph of Indian Land, SC, Gay Cerny and husband Pete of Goldsboro; son, Richard Woodard and wife Jane Gale of Goldsboro; sister, Joyce Casey of Dudley; thirteen grandchildren; twenty seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Earl York, Thomas Herbert York and Glenn York; sisters, Helen Ellis Potter, Josephine Denmark.
