Edward John Phee

     1932-2022

Mr. Edward John Phee, husband of Katherine (Keoughan) Phee of Napan, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at the age of 89.

Born in Napan, New Brunswick on September 11, 1932, Edward was the son of both the late Courtney and Mary (Cripps) Phee. 

He was a Furniture Mover with Allied Van Lines for many years.  He was also a member of St. Michael’s Basilica. 

Mr. Edward John Phee is survived by his two daughters:  Susan Mullaley (Gus) of Newfoundland, and Christine Carroll (Bob) of Eastern Passage, NS; three sons:  Pat Phee, Courtney Phee (Jacqueline), and Edward Phee, all of Napan; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. 

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his six sisters:  Anna Power, Mona Flynn, Mae Flanaghan, Carmel Kennedy, Jean McDonald, and Helen Sullivan.  He is also predeceased by his three brothers:  Hollie, Courtney, and Jackie Phee. 

A public visitation occurred at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 2-4 PM, and 7-9 PM.  A public Mass of Christian Burial occurred on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 2 PM, from St. Michael’s Basilica and was celebrated by The Reverend Father John Fraser and The Reverend Father John Keoughan.  Music for the service was provided by Jacqueline Allain.  The songs included:  "Here I Am Lord", "The Lord Is My Shepherd", "Make Me A Channel Of Your Peace", "Amazing Grace", "On Eagle's Wings", with the recessional being "Peace Is Flowing".  The scripture readings and Prayers of the Faithful were read by Barb McLaughlin.  The Active Pallbearers were:  Michael Connell, Kenny Flynn, Travis Phee, Vern Derry, Donald Lobban, and Stephen Veniot.  Interment was in St. Michael’s Cemetery. 

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice and would be appreciated by the family.
