Patricia Moody Hansen, 78, of Niantic, formerly of Holliston, MA., passed away May 14, 2022. She was born November 10, 1943 born in Middletown, CT the daughter of the late Madeleine and Arthur Moody and the wife of the late Oscar Hansen. She earned her undergraduate degree from Becker College and her Master's degree in Special Education from Framingham State University and was an elementary teacher for over 20 years. Paticia, “Patty” was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved to spend hours chatting with family and friends and spending time with her beloved dog, Molly. She was her grandchildren’s biggest fan and enjoyed watching them grow and participate in activities. She was a devout Catholic and donated her time to many organizations including her beloved Pine Grove community. She truly enjoyed reading, eating sweets, sitting on the beach and wading in the ocean. She spent many years traveling with her late husband, Oscar. She will be forever missed and loved by all. Survivors include her two sons, Erik J. Hansen and his wife Karena of Northborough, MA and Michael O. Hansen and his wife, Heather of Franklin, MA; a daughter, Kirsten D. Jerome and her husband, Christopher of Franklin, MA and nine grandchildren, Connor, Ellyna, Caden, Nora, Drew and Vera Hansen, Sarah and Noah Garofalo, and Jebediah Jerome. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, (May 19 ) from 5-7 PM at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 48 Grand Street, Niantic, CT. The funeral will be held on Friday (May 20) at 11:00am at St. Agnes Church, Haigh Avenue, Niantic, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial Interment will follow in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Middlefield, CT.
