Lawrence James “Larry” Matthews, age 83 of Greenville, died Sunday, May 15, 2022 at the Spectrum Health Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids. He was born July 15, 1938 in Croswell. Larry served our country in the United States Air Force. On August 12, 1960, he married Joann Fuller. Larry retired after many years of employment at the General Motors plant on Alpine. Larry was preceded in death by his son, Randy Matthews; mother, Lucille Bond; father, Eldred Matthews; parents-in-law, Floyd and Jessie Fuller; six brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his devoted wife of almost 62 years, Joann; grandchildren, Heather (Josh) Frein and Dan (Sarah) Matthews; brother, Roy (Mary) Matthews; sister, Susan (Jerry) Cramer; brother-in-law, Lyle (Karen) Fuller; and daughter-in-law, Mary Spree Matthews. No public services will be held. Private interment will be in Reynolds Cemetery, Howard City.July 15, 1938 - May 15, 202207/15/193805/15/2022
