Robert Charles Mortimer age 93 of Knoxville passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 at UPMC Wellsboro. Born July 10, 1928 in Bradford, PA, he was the son of the late John and Ora (Wingard) Mortimer. Bob was the custodian at the Northern Tioga School District for 25 plus years. He married Viola N. Northrup on October 16, 1953 and they shared 69 years together until her passing on February 25, 2022. He was a member of the Knoxville Masonic Lodge for over 50 years, enjoyed hunting and fishing, liked sports; basketball and baseball and loved his chickens. He is survived by children, John and Colleen Mortimer of Knoxville, PA, Michele and Tom Anderson of Pottstown, PA and Katrina and Peter Croke of Coudersport; grandchildren, Christina Colegrove, Stephanie Katch, Megan Colegrove, Ashleigh Styer, McKayla Bodine and Bowen Croke; 10 great grandchildren and nephews, Bryan and Terry Fisk. He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola and sister and brother in law, Patricia and Roger Fisk. Private family service will be held at their convenience. Memorial donations may be made to the Cowanesque Valley High School, 51 N. Fork Rd., Westfield, PA 16950 (to be put toward an FFA scholarship).
