Born Judy Ann Meeker on October 29, 1948 in Marshalltown, she was the daughter of William “Bill” and Anna (Starn) Meeker. She obtained her early education in Montour and graduated from Tama High School. Judy was married to the love of her life, Ralph Sprague. Judy spent her entire adult life as a health care worker, beginning as a Nurse’s Aide in the late 60s. She ultimately progressed to being a Paramedic, Licensed Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse. She dedicated over 10 years as a Registered Nurse at Southridge Nursing and Rehab. Judy’s dedication to work and her passion for caring for others in the healthcare setting was only surpassed by her deep love and care for her family. Her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life. Longevity was not common in Judy’s family, and she was overjoyed to become a great-grandma and see those four generations. Judy loved them so deeply that no matter how bad her day was, they could bring a smile to her face. Though highly motivated and hard-working, she also knew how to enjoy herself and was quite the jokester. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Tammy (Shawn) Kellogg; her biological son, Matt MacLachlan; stepchildren: Chelle (Joe) Sharp and Fred (Jenifer) Davisson and their children; grandchildren: Trent Potter (Marissa), Kaylee Potter, Jacalyn Kellogg, Tena Hausafus, Nikki Hausafus, Riley Priske, Madilyn Priske, Linkin Sharp and Ali Reece; eight great-grandchildren; her siblings: Pam Behounek, Bill (Robert) Meeker-Richardson and Deb (Stacy) Hoskey; her nieces, nephews and several other relatives. In eternal life, she is reunited with her beloved husband, Ralph; her parents, Bill and Anna; stepson, Doug Hausafus; her brother-in-law, Greg Behounek.
