Rosanna Beene Obituary

Rosanna Virginia Beene was born November 15, 1951 in Lexington, Kentucky and raised in Toledo, OH. Rosanna grew up in South Toledo and attended Lincoln Elementary School, Robinson Jr. High School, and graduated from Scott High School in 1969. Rosanna then obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Kentucky State University in 1973. Rosanna met the love of her life, Robert Beene, Jr, in 1967, married March 4, 1972 and built a wonderful life together. What a blessing it was to celebrate their Golden 50-year wedding anniversary in March. Rosanna had a gift and love for children serving as a substitute teacher for Toledo Public Schools, intermittently, and a 2nd Grade Teacher at the Academy of Business & Technology. Rosanna was extraordinarily dedicated to her family and took great care and pride in being an exemplary stay-at-home wife and mother. Holidays, homework, carpools, sports, meals, bake sales, support, volunteering – you name it; she did it, did it well and with her extra special touch. This deep love for family only grew with the birth of her grandchildren, as she instilled the importance of love, kindness, and education. She was the absolute best Granny, affectionately known as ‘G,’ loving and spoiling her grandchildren as only she could. She enjoyed watching games shows and sports with her life partner, Robert, and tapped into her creativity with sewing, coloring, crossword puzzles, and Sudoku. She also loved getting her hair and nails done. Rosanna will always be remembered as a beautiful angel on Earth. She had a sweet, gentle, loving, and warm spirit and was always available for a listening ear, words of comfort, or a hearty snack. She welcomed everyone as family. To her loved ones, she was utter, irreplaceable Magic!

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Campbell; father, Thomas Young; brother, Costello Bullock; twin sister, Rosemary Bob; aunts, uncles, sister and brothers-in-law. She leaves to cherish loving memories, her husband, Robert Beene, Jr., sons, Thomas (Glenda Richea) Beene, Robert Beene, III; daughter, Erin (Brent) Price; grandchildren Taylor Watson, Jordyn Bailey, Kamryn Beene, Brooklyn Price, Brent Price; mother-in-law, Rozein Beene; brother and sisters-in-law, Clifford Beene, Mary (Charles) Allen, Deborah Beene; nieces and nephew, Ericka Hanley, Angela Hanley, and Corey Shively; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
